Q-Tip and I had our first proper introduction in the bathtub. Lisa says she did this so Q-Tip would be too nervous to consider me a threat to his territory. She had trouble keeping us in the tub. We rabbits don't like bathtubs even without water. After getting tired of putting us back in the tub, she let us run on the floor in the bathroom. She had a towel ready to break up any fights. At first we stayed far away from each other. Then we sniffed each other then decided to take a rest behind the toilet. Here are a few photos from our time in the bathroom.( Click for photosCollapse )
After a little while she let us out of the bathroom. As soon as we got back to the bedroom, Q-Tip turned on me. Lisa rescued me from the evil red-eyed bunny.
She tried many more times to get us to get along. She held Q-Tip down so he couldn't bite me so I mounted him to show him I was in charge. He didn't fall for that. Whenever Lisa let me out of my cage I would taunt Q-Tip by sticking my nose between the bars and pulling it out right before he bit me. When he was out he would retaliate by peeing on my cage.
One day in the livingroom we had a really big fight where we were lying on our sides kicking and biting each other. Lisa pulled us apart and one of us accidentally bit her. I had my eyes closed, I don't know if it was me. Q-Tip won't say anything. I don't think he knows either. I had two cuts on my face. Lisa didn't see them in my dark fur. A few days later she felt the scabs while petting me, but saw that the area wasn't red or inflamed and decided just to keep an eye on them. My injuries healed just fine. I didn't manage to do any damage to Q-Tip but then he has longer thicker fur and he's almost twice as big as me. He's tough for a middle-aged bunny. Lisa says he had a bad childhood and that it took her years to get him to trust her and not bite her.
Lisa decided not to try to bond me and Q-Tip together anymore. I quit teasing him and he quit peeing by my cage. I still like to sleep next to his cage though. I enjoy the company even if he doesn't.
